ARIN and Yoon Chan-young have been cast as the leads in the film 'Bongcheon-dong Ghost', which begins filming on October 5. The film is based on a webtoon by Horang and follows the story of Su-yeon and Tae-o as they encounter a curse in Bongcheon-dong.
ARIN and Yoon Chan-young will star in the film 'Bongcheon-dong Ghost'.
This work has entered full-scale production, with the first filming scheduled to begin on October 5.
'Bongcheon-dong Ghost' is set in an apartment in Bongcheon-dong built above a valley where shamans used to perform rituals, and tells the story of what happens as 'Su-yeon' experiences strange phenomena.
The original work is a webtoon of the same name by the author Horang, which drew attention upon its release for its direction that combined bizarrely shaped ghost visuals with moving images and sound.
The film expands the ghost stories from the webtoon into everyday horror, following strange phenomena and a curse spanning hundreds of years that begin in familiar spaces such as apartments, elevators, and alleys. 'Su-yeon', who is possessed by a ghost, and 'Tae-o', who can see ghosts, pursue the origins of the curse in Bongcheon-dong. ARIN plays 'Su-yeon', and Yoon Chan-young plays 'Tae-o'. Director Han Dong-seok is in charge of directing.
