Michael Douglas revealed in his memoir that he had a secret romance with Kathleen Turner over 40 years ago.

According to media reports, Douglas wrote about the events during the filming of the 1984 movie "Romancing the Stone" in his recently published memoir "One Helluva Ride".

He wrote that he grew close to Turner during filming in Mexico, and that their relationship was more than just a simple friendship on set.

Douglas also shared that he was separated from his first wife, Diandra Luker, at the time.

It is said that the two continued their relationship without even director Robert Zemeckis or Danny DeVito, who were in charge of directing, knowing.

Douglas wrote that their relationship ended after Diandra visited the filming set with their son Cameron.

After that, the two met again in several works.

They appeared together in "The Jewel of the Nile", the sequel to "Romancing the Stone", as well as "The War of the Roses" and the Netflix series "The Kominsky Method".

Douglas divorced Diandra in 1995 and remarried actress Catherine Zeta-Jones in 2000.

Turner said she supports Douglas's book, noting that it happened 40 years ago.
