Virtual boy group PLAVE will make their comeback by releasing their fifth mini album 'HYPERDRIVE' through various music platforms at 6 PM on the 12th. This new release comes approximately six months after their 4th mini album released last April, and the physical album is scheduled to be officially released on the following day, the 13th.

According to media reports, the title track of this album, 'STAR TRACE', was previously revealed to fans during their recent world tour performances. This song is the first time PLAVE has attempted the EDM-based dance pop genre, characterized by layered synthesizer sounds and heavy beats. The lyrics contain cosmic love and faith, expressing the connection between PLAVE and their fans that links Asterum and Terra.

In addition to the title track, the album includes a variety of songs such as the bossa nova rhythm track 'Expert', the rock genre track 'Welcome Rain Under a Blue Sky', and the pop track 'The Answer Is Yes' which contains positive energy. In particular, 'Rewind', the song that marks their first collaboration with an outside composer, is evaluated to have increased musical perfection through the participation of famous hitmaker KENZIE.

Meanwhile, PLAVE, who debuted in March 2023, has enjoyed steady popularity by releasing numerous songs such as 'I'll Wait', 'Why? Why? Why?', 'The Sixth Summer', and 'Hide-and-Seek'. Having held a solo concert at Gocheok Sky Dome last November, they are proving their growth by significantly expanding their performance scale to the Incheon Munhak Stadium Main Stadium after about 10 months.
