As content created with AI rapidly increases, the challenge of what to filter and watch is emerging as more important than what to create. PROM announced that it will officially open 'PROM Choice' in October, an archive where experts directly view and evaluate AI works.

PROM Choice does not stop at simply collecting works; it operates in a manner where humans directly view them and record why they are worth watching. Kwon Ho-young, Kim Tae-hoon, Ahn Chang-hyun, and Night Cinema will participate in the evaluation, and the criteria consist of four elements: story, technical skill, expressiveness, and novelty. Each writer leaves a 'Moon Rating' out of 5 points and a 31-character review, and based on these scores and comments, selected works are introduced in newsletters and communities every Tuesday and Friday.

In the eyes of this reporter, this attempt is read as a task of re-questioning the role of curation in an environment overflowing with AI content. As the speed of generation increases, the criteria for discerning the completeness and interpretation of works become more important, and the method of placing expert evaluation at the forefront can serve as an experiment to accumulate those standards.

PROM will also hold offline viewing events. On October 23, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, it will hold the 'AI Masterpieces Screening,' where major works in the field of AI film will be screened with commentary, followed by a guest talk (GV) in the second part featuring the PROM Choice writers. PROM Director Kim Woo-jung said, “The antonym of AI slop is ultimately a work that a human watches to the end and selects,” adding, “We will go beyond merely discovering good AI works and strive to make this a space where we view and talk about what constitutes a good work together, thereby accumulating discernment.”
