Ryu Jigwang will release his new single ‘The Boxer’ at noon on the 13th.

Meaning a boxer, this song is a folk rock track that tells the story of falling down countless times on the ring of life and standing up again.

It was completed with a band sound centered on analog instruments, stripping away flamboyant arrangements and exaggerated expressions.

Ryu Jigwang's rough yet warm baritone adds to the song, enhancing its authenticity and resonance.

Singer-songwriter Lee Dong-eun, who was in charge of composing, said, "I believe there is a moment in everyone's life when they feel as if they have lost everything," and expressed hope that ‘The Boxer’ would become a song that provides small comfort to those going through difficult times and gives them the courage to stand up again.

Ryu Jigwang left a deep impression with his deep bass on TV CHOSUN’s ‘Mr. Trot’ broadcast in 2020, and has since continued his activities through broadcasts and performances at festivals across the country. Having recently appeared on KBS1’s ‘National Singing Contest,’ he is expected to showcase his folk rock sensibility and an even more sincere voice with this new song.
