BOYNEXTDOOR to release 1st full album repackage ‘HOME: DELUXE’ on the 28th

BOYNEXTDOOR will release the repackage of their 1st full album, ‘HOME: DELUXE’, on the 28th at 6 PM.

The title track ‘ANIMAL’ uses the responses exchanged with the audience on stage as material for the song, capturing an energy that allows everyone to jump and play together.

TAESAN mentioned that he liked the ‘Whop Whop!’ sound fans made while cheering during their US performance, and expressed a desire to borrow such an ‘animal sound’ for the music.

Based on this sound, the members and producers conceived the theme of the song, expressing the mindset of charging forward tirelessly toward what one wants by comparing it to the dynamic movements of animals.

This new song is the first time BOYNEXTDOOR has attempted the electro-funk genre. JAEHYUN shared that he, TAESAN, and WOONHAK sometimes spent time unable to write songs while just playing beats, and mentioned that after the first day of work, they talked about needing to study this genre. He said that after listening to and studying various songs, they created a demo version, and the most memorable moment was when the reactions were polarized when they played it for the members.

WOONHAK chose an instinctive feeling as the vibe he wanted to capture in the song. He explained that ‘Move like animal’ means to move freely and instinctively like a beast, melting in the wish that they move as they want without worrying about other things. He also added that the thought he had most frequently while working was wanting to perform on stage quickly.

RIWOO participated in the choreography production, marking the first time his name appears in the choreography credits. He said that since the song is intense, he felt that if the performance were also too strong, it might be difficult for the audience to enjoy together, so he wanted to add relaxation, easy-to-follow movements, and wit to the chorus choreography.

‘HOME: DELUXE’ contains a total of 14 tracks, including 9 existing songs from the 1st full album, the new songs ‘ANIMAL’ and ‘CLICHE’, the Korean version of a Japanese release, ‘Boom Boom Boom’, and the fan song ‘400 Years’.
