TWS Unveils Official Member Characters ‘TWIMI’… JIHOON is a Puppy in a Jellyfish Cloak
PLEDIS Entertainment announced the release of 'TWIMI', official character dolls representing the individual personalities of TWS members.
On September 15 and 16, PLEDIS Entertainment officially announced through its official channels the creation of 'TWIMI', official character dolls that embody the personalities of the TWS members. According to the released profiles, leader SHINYU was characterized as 'Jjok', modeled after a weasel; DOHOON as 'Dojuni', resembling a puppy; and YOUNGJAE as 'Gichuni', reminiscent of a guinea pig. The lineup also includes HANJIN as the rabbit character 'Hanbit', JIHOON as 'Haetpi', a puppy wearing a jellyfish cloak, and the youngest member KYUNGMIN as 'Haemtaengi', who resembles a hamster.
The members expressed their affection by directly explaining the meanings behind each character. SHINYU introduced 'Jjok' as a timid but courageous leader, while DOHOON defined 'Dojuni' as a free-spirited trendsetter. YOUNGJAE described 'Gichuni' as an unwavering mental pillar, and HANJIN depicted 'Hanbit' as a considerate angel. KYUNGMIN explained that 'Haemtaengi' is a capable youngest member who receives a lot of love from his older brothers.
In particular, JIHOON's choice of a puppy character wearing a jellyfish cloak drew attention from fans. On September 15, JIHOON mentioned the character via Weverse, saying, "A friend that contains my ego." JIHOON has previously shared his values of living flexibly according to the flow of water while not missing opportunities, and he has frequently used the jellyfish emoji when communicating with fans.
TWS is continuing its global activities alongside active musical promotions. Following the release of their 5th mini album 'NO TRAGEDY' last April, they released their 2nd Japanese single 'SODA SODA' in August, reaching the top of major charts in both countries. After completing performances at K-Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa on September 12 and 13, TWS is scheduled to embark on an Asia tour, visiting Macau on September 19–20, Bangkok on the 26th, Singapore on October 10, and Kaohsiung on the 24th.
