Jung Kook’s ‘Seven’ achieves Platinum certification in the United Kingdom with over 600,000 copies sold
Jung Kook's solo track ‘Seven’ has earned Platinum certification from the BPI in the United Kingdom after selling over 600,000 copies. The song has achieved various international certifications, including Double Platinum from the RIAA in the United States.
According to media reports, BTS Jung Kook's solo song ‘Seven’ has sold more than 600,000 copies in the United Kingdom, earning Platinum certification in the BRIT Certified single category from the BPI. Since its release in 2023, sales have increased, receiving a certification one level higher than the previous Gold.
‘Seven’ is the first song by a K-pop singer to sell over 400,000 copies in the United Kingdom, receiving Gold certification. It entered the UK Official main single chart ‘TOP100’ at number 3 and remained on the chart for 14 weeks. Jung Kook has earned a total of 5 UK Silver certifications for ‘Standing Next to You’, ‘Seven’, ‘3D’, ‘Left and Right’, and ‘GOLDEN’.
He has also set several certification records overseas. In the United States, it sold over 2 million units, receiving Double Platinum from the RIAA. The RIAJ certified ‘Seven’ as Platinum in the streaming category as cumulative streams exceeded 100 million, and it earned Platinum from the SNEP in France with approximately 30 million streams.
In Canada, it received Double Platinum from Music Canada, and in New Zealand, it received Platinum certification. It recorded Gold certification in Italy, Belgium, Portugal, and Spain, respectively.
According to media reports, ‘Seven’ debuted at number 1 on the Billboard main single chart ‘Hot 100’ and remained on the chart for 15 weeks. On Spotify, it was the first song by an Asian singer to surpass 3.1 billion cumulative streams.
