The group TWS (Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Lee Ji-hoon, Kyungmin) has proven their high popularity in Japan by receiving Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. According to media reports, TWS's 2nd Japanese single 'SODA SODA' has surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments as of August.
With this record, TWS has achieved the feat of two consecutive Platinum certifications following their debut single 'Nice to see you again'. 'SODA SODA', released last month, broke the team's own record by achieving sales of 225,853 copies in its first week of release alone.
TWS is currently scheduled to continue their local live tour in Kanagawa on the 12th and 13th, following Osaka and Fukuoka. Meanwhile, TWS's representative song 'plot twist', which debuted in January, surpassed 200 million cumulative plays on YouTube Music last July.
