The new SBS Friday-Saturday drama <Doctor X> captures attention by officially releasing the 'Main Poster Doctor Version' featuring the intense visuals of 'medical dark hero' Kim Ji-won.

Scheduled to premiere on October 9 (Friday), the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama <Doctor X> (produced by Studio S, Studio Dragon, HighZium Studio) is a refreshing medical noir depicting the activities of 'the crazy Gye of the operating room,' Doctor X Gye Su-jeong, who breaks down massive corruption with genius surgical skills that know neither failure nor compromise. It is drawing anticipation as the first medical genre entry in the 'SBS Cathartic Universe,' which continues a unique streak of hits with 'Agent Kim Reactivated,' 'Taxi Driver,' 'The Fiery Priest,' and 'The Judge from Hell.' Additionally, it is garnering intense interest as it features a powerful lead cast including director Lee Jeong-rim, who directed the dramas 'VIP', 'Revenant', and 'As You Stood By', alongside Kim Ji-won (as Gye Su-jeong), Lee Jung-eun (as Jang Hui-suk), Son Hyun-joo (as Bu Seung-gwon), and Kim Woo-seok (as Park Tae-gyeong).

In particular, expectations are high as it foreshadows the most intense transformation in actress Kim Ji-won's filmography. In the drama, Kim Ji-won will play Gye Su-jeong, a 'dark hero genius doctor' obsessed only with surgery, and will aim directly at the 'White Mafia' of Guseo University Hospital who pursue power and profit with her god-tier surgical skills.

In this context, the 'Doctor X' team overwhelms with the release of the main poster 'Doctor Version' of Gye Su-jeong wearing a blood-red doctor's gown. In the released poster, Gye Su-jeong appears with traces of surgery all over her body. While the pure white gown and the blood-stained marks create a stark contrast, Gye Su-jeong's expressionless face, without a single hair out of place, instantly dominates the atmosphere. While her unwavering gaze conveys an absolute certainty that she will not fail any surgery, it also radiates an obsessive tenacity toward surgery alone. Curiosity rises sharply regarding how Gye Su-jeong will act to swallow up the 'White Mafia' using only her skills in Guseo University Hospital, which is controlled by them.

The 'Doctor X' production team stated, "This 'Doctor Version' main poster captures the presence of 'dark hero genius doctor' Gye Su-jeong, who instantly overwhelms the space of the operating room. Please watch the birth of an unprecedented doctor who will not compromise with any framework and will face the power of the Guseo University 'White Mafia' with only overwhelming surgical skills in 'Doctor X'." This has pushed expectations for the upcoming broadcast of 'Doctor X' to their peak.

As the most anticipated work for the second half of 2026 from SBS, a master of the cathartic genre, the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama <Doctor X> will premiere on October 9 (Friday) at 9:50 PM.
