SEVENTEEN's Agency, Imprisonment and Over 1 Billion Won in Forfeiture Sentenced to Scalpers

SEVENTEEN's agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, is continuing its legal response against malicious posts and professional scalpers.

On September 28, PLEDIS Entertainment announced through SEVENTEEN's official account that it is proceeding with legal measures against the dissemination of false information, insults, and sexual slander, based on internally collected data and fan reports.

The agency reported that among the cases already filed, one defendant indicted on charges of malicious defamation against the artists was recently sentenced to a fine of 2 million won in the first trial.

Regarding illegal ticket transactions, the agency explained that some of the recently apprehended professional scalpers were sentenced to prison terms of 1 year and 8 months and 1 year and 4 months, with a combined forfeiture of more than 1 billion won.

PLEDIS Entertainment maintains its position that it will continue to respond without leniency to acts that infringe upon the rights and interests of SEVENTEEN and to illegal ticket transactions.
