Director Alejandro G. Inarritu cancels South Korea visit to promote ‘Digger’… Will not attend October 1–2 schedule

Warner Bros. Korea announced on the 20th that director Alejandro G. Inarritu, who was scheduled to attend promotional events for the film ‘Digger’ in South Korea, will be unable to attend due to unavoidable circumstances. The director had planned to attend the schedule taking place for two days from October 1 to October 2.

Korea, the director stated, “I was looking forward to the day I could meet you all in person during the ‘Digger’ world tour, but due to unexpected circumstances, I am unable to go to South Korea in time for the tour schedule.”

I have always been deeply moved by the amazing love, passion, and hot support that Korean audiences send to films and filmmakers. This time as well, I was sincerely looking forward to meeting you again and sharing more stories about ‘Digger’.”

The director added, “Although I cannot be there in person, I believe actor Tom Cruise will be able to feel the amazing warmth and support you have sent us so far,” and “I express my sincere regret once again for missing the precious opportunity to be with you. And I earnestly hope for the opportunity to meet you all again in the future.”

‘Digger’, starring Tom Cruise, will be released on October 3. It is a disaster black comedy that unfolds as Digger Rockwell, a third-generation oil tycoon, treats a crack discovered at a Greenland glacier drilling facility as something insignificant.
