Megabox will provide limited edition posters on a first-come, first-served basis to viewers of three films at Dolby special theaters throughout November. The lineup includes the 10th anniversary re-release of ‘La La Land’ starting on the 18th, alongside ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ and ‘Hex: Kingdom of Witches’.

Dolby Laboratories is introducing November releases for Dolby Cinema, spanning genres from sensory romance to spectacular fantasy, including ‘La La Land’, ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’, and ‘Hex: Kingdom of Witches’.

These films can be experienced with enhanced colors and delicate sound at a total of 14 locations, including Dolby Cinema—which utilizes Dolby's premium HDR video technology, Dolby Vision®, and next-generation immersive audio technology, Dolby Atmos®—and special theaters featuring Dolby Vision + Atmos.

On the 11th, the musical romance ‘La La Land’, which won six awards at the 89th Academy Awards, will be re-released to celebrate its 10th anniversary. It will be available at Dolby Cinema starting from the 18th. The film depicts the journey of Mia, an aspiring actress, and Sebastian, a jazz pianist, who meet and fall in love in LA while pursuing their respective dreams. The vivid colors of Dolby Vision® will more sensually realize the film's unique romantic atmosphere, from the opening featuring vibrant colors and dynamic group dancing to the scene where the two face each other while tap dancing on a hill at sunset. Furthermore, the soundtrack, which is considered a masterpiece and won Best Original Music and Best Original Song at the 89th Academy Awards, will more deeply convey the love and conflict experienced by the two characters through the immersive sound of Dolby Atmos®.

On the 18th, ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’, a new installment in the globally successful fantasy blockbuster series ‘The Hunger Games’, will be released. Set during the youth of Haymitch Abernathy, who later becomes a mentor to Katniss and Peeta, the story follows Haymitch as he faces the brutal survival competition of the 50th Hunger Games with exceptional strategy and unpredictable choices after receiving the lowest training score. The stark contrast between the glamorous shows of the Capitol and the brutal arena will be more vividly realized through the deep light and shadow of Dolby Vision®, while the delicate sound of Dolby Atmos® will maximize the tension of the life-and-death struggle, providing an immersive experience as if being in the middle of the arena.

On the 25th, ‘Hex: Kingdom of Witches’, the 65th feature-length animation from Walt Disney Animation Studios involving the crew of ‘Frozen’ and ‘Zootopia’, will be released. The film portrays an unpredictable adventure where Billie, an ordinary girl who discovers that she and her mother are witches, is unexpectedly sucked into the world of witches, ‘Hex’, through a portal. The colorful landscapes and eye-catching magical action of the magic world will be brought to life with the vivid colors of Dolby Vision®, and the spatial sound of Dolby Atmos® will add immersion to the dynamic adventure, leading audiences into the world of witches.

Megabox will provide Dolby posters on a first-come, first-served basis to viewers of ‘La La Land’, ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’, and ‘Hex: Kingdom of Witches’ screening at Dolby special theaters. Information on poster distribution locations can be found on the Megabox website and mobile app.

Operating more than 290 locations in 15 countries worldwide, Dolby Cinema provides a different dimension of cinematic experience across all genres by combining Dolby Vision®, which realizes a vivid screen through a color palette of billions, with Dolby Atmos® technology, which boasts sound that seems to surround the audience from all directions. The first domestic location officially opened at Megabox COEX in July 2020, and a total of eight Dolby Cinema locations are currently operating in Korea, including Anseong Starfield, Namyangju Hyundai Outlet Space 1, Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science, Daegu Shinsegae, Suwon AK Plaza, Songdo, and Hanam Starfield. In addition, six special theaters applying Dolby's next-generation integrated solution, ‘Dolby Vision + Atmos’, are operating in Guri East Pole, Mokdong, Cheongju Terminal, Goyang Starfield, Sangam World Cup Stadium, and Suwon Starfield.
