The Disney+ original series 'The Remarried Empress' has become the most-watched local original content on Disney+ worldwide within three days of its release. According to Disney+ on the 7th, the series achieved this milestone based on viewership records from the three days following its release on the 3rd.
The title also ranked first among South Korean titles released in more than 50 markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, Mexico, Chile, ANZ (Australia and New Zealand), and Canada. The series' success is attributed to it being a live-action adaptation of a work that gained global popularity.
Disney+ interpreted the achievement as a result of the production quality, the passionate performances of the actors, and an immersive narrative. The platform explained that the costumes and sets depicting the fictional worlds of the Eastern Empire and the Western Kingdom, along with the grand music, drew in viewers. The progression of the story, which begins with the change of heart of Emperor Sovieshu and expands into the love and desires of four characters, is also receiving a positive response.
This record was set while only four episodes out of the total have been released. Attention is now focused on future performance as the new romance between Navier and Heinrey, and the conflicting desires surrounding Sovieshu and Rashta, are expected to unfold.
