FLO ‘Cheer On’ cumulative plays exceed 1 million in one month… 250,000 participants
Dreamus Company's music platform FLO announced that its participatory streaming feature ‘Cheer On’ surpassed 1 million cumulative plays within one month of its official launch. Since starting the service on September 1, 250,000 people have participated, collecting over 1 million cheer tickets.
Dreamus Company's music platform FLO announced on the 8th that its participatory streaming feature ‘Cheer On’ surpassed 1 million cumulative plays just one month after its official launch. Since the service began on September 1, 250,000 people have participated, collecting more than 1 million cheer tickets.
‘Cheer On’ is a feature where fans create an artist's cheering playlist and share the link, and other users play the playlist to use the cheer tickets together. According to the company, these play counts are reflected in the FLO Chart, Circle Chart, and Billboard charts.
During the pre-operation period, fans of the virtual idol PLAVE collected more than 150,000 cheers. The number of participating artists, which was about 10 teams immediately after the official launch, increased to about 130 teams within a month. Fans participated by sharing playlists and cheering links in accordance with comebacks, concerts, and anniversaries.
The company explained that FLO's ‘Cheer On’ retention rate was 25.7% for the month following its launch, and new subscribers increased by 19%. While both the retention rate and subscriber increase appeared together, it is difficult to judge the specific impact of the feature on the increase based solely on the disclosed figures. As the method of collecting cheer tickets together is a structure that induces repeated use and external sharing, it is necessary to watch the user flow further to see if participation continues in the future.
Seong Jin-a, Head of Traffic Unit at Dreamus Company, stated, “Music streaming is expanding beyond listening alone to an experience of cheering for favorite artists together and connecting with fans. We will create experiences where fans can meet and be together more through music on FLO.”
