FLO and Mnet Plus launch weekly fan voting service for artists
Dreamus Company's music platform FLO is partnering with CJ ENM's global K-POP content platform Mnet Plus to launch "FLO Weekly Pick," a weekly fan voting service starting the first week of November.
Starting the first week of November, FLO and Mnet Plus will launch "FLO Weekly Pick," a weekly voting service where the top-ranked artist receives a support playlist through both platforms. The service follows the success of FLO's "Cheering" feature, which has already surpassed 1 million cumulative plays for approximately 130 artist teams.
Dreamus Company's music platform FLO is joining forces with CJ ENM's global K-POP content platform Mnet Plus to launch "FLO Weekly Pick," a weekly fan voting service. Starting the first week of November, domestic and international users can participate in the service, with voting held every week from Wednesday at 2:00 PM until Tuesday at midnight of the following week.
FLO will select new candidates each week, such as artists who have recently made a comeback or are celebrating birthdays. Voting will take place on Mnet Plus, and within one week of the voting period ending, a support playlist for the first-place artist will be released through both companies' apps and official social media channels. This playlist will include FLO's "Cheering" support rights.
FLO operates a "Cheering" feature where fans purchase support rights to play an artist's playlist together. Within just one month of its launch, the feature surpassed 1 million cumulative cheering plays, and currently, fandoms for approximately 130 artist teams are participating. As the structure allows fans to support artists by linking voting with streaming, the connection between the platforms is expected to expand the scope of fan activities.
“Voting and ‘Cheering’ are connected in that they are both ways for fans to express their feelings toward the artists they love,” said Seong Jin-a, Head of Traffic Unit at Dreamus Company. “‘FLO Weekly Pick’ is meaningful in that the feelings fans convey through voting lead to the actual experience of listening to and supporting music together. We will continue to expand fan touchpoints so that fans can support and engage with artists in various ways.”
