SBS President Bang Moon-shin has joined the ‘Relay Campaign to Eradicate Illegal Cyber Gambling Among Youth’ organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
The ‘Relay Campaign to Eradicate Illegal Cyber Gambling Among Youth,’ which the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has been promoting since last March, is a public interest campaign designed to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal cyber gambling, which has recently been spreading rapidly among youth, and to inspire social vigilance for prevention.
Following KT ENA CEO Kim Ho-sang, SBS President Bang Moon-shin participated in this campaign, emphasizing the role of media and social interest in protecting youth.
President Bang Moon-shin stated, “Illegal gambling among youth is a serious issue that threatens not only the future of young people but also the safety of society as a whole,” adding, “I joined this campaign with the intention that everyone in our society should pay active interest and effort so that the youth, who are our future generations, can grow up in a safe and healthy environment.” He then recommended Choi Young-in, head of the entertainment business division at SM C&C, the co-producer of SBS's massive audition project ‘Our Ballad 2’, as the next campaign participant.
Meanwhile, SBS, as a representative media group of the Republic of Korea that fulfills public interest and social responsibility, plans to continue activities for youth protection and the spread of public interest values based on the social influence held by terrestrial media.
