SECHSKIES' Ko Ji-yong files injunction against ex-wife Heo Yang-im to prevent interference with visitation rights
Ko Ji-yong, a former member of SECHSKIES, has filed an injunction against his ex-wife, Heo Yang-im, to prevent interference with visitation rights and the posting of photos and videos of their child. Ko claims that his inability to pay child support temporarily was due to massive medical expenses during a life-threatening illness, and he is responding to legal actions previously taken by Heo.
Ko Ji-yong, a former member of SECHSKIES, has filed an injunction against his ex-wife, family medicine specialist Heo Yang-im, to prohibit interference with visitation rights and the posting of photos and videos of their child. Ko Ji-yong's side stated that they completed the legal proceedings on the 16th, and there has been no separate contact from Heo Yang-im's side to date.
Ko Ji-yong explained that after a mutual divorce on April 24, 2024, he was hospitalized on May 9 with symptoms of liver cirrhosis, liver hardening, and shock, undergoing a life-threatening struggle for survival. He claimed that during this period, a situation occurred where child support was temporarily unpaid due to massive medical expenses, and although he expressed his intention to pay in installments afterward, he was rejected.
According to media reports, Ko Ji-yong's side protested that Heo Yang-im has been using their son's photos without permission for hospital promotion. Furthermore, as Heo Yang-im's side first proceeded with injunction applications and seizure of claims on September 5, 2026, he judged that he could no longer overlook it and has taken counter-measures.
Currently, Heo Yang-im's side has not released a specific position regarding Ko Ji-yong's claims and the injunction application. The two married in 2013 and have a son, and last July, Ko Ji-yong belatedly revealed the fact that they had divorced two years ago.
