Singer Yangpa concludes 29-year musical journey with 'Together' concert featuring AI duet with 17-year-old self
Singer Yangpa successfully completed her 2026 Yangpa Orchestra Concert ‘Together’ at Yonsei University, featuring a special AI-driven performance where she sang alongside a digital version of her 17-year-old self.
Singer Yangpa shared a special "togetherness" with her audience through a performance summarizing her 29-year musical journey. According to media reports, the 2026 Yangpa Orchestra Concert ‘Together’ was successfully completed to enthusiastic applause at the Centennial Memorial Hall Concert Hall of Yonsei University in Sinchon-dong, Seoul, on October 31 and November 1.
Yangpa opened the performance with "Forever With You (Angel's Poem)." Captivating the audience from the first song with delicate emotions and deep vocals, she reflected on the meaning of the show, stating, "This moment with all of you, who have walked beside me without leaving my side for the past 29 years, is the most complete 'togetherness' of my life." She followed this by performing long-beloved signature songs, including "A Youngster's Love," "Special Night," "Adio," and "Love... What Is It?", all featuring classical arrangements.
The highlight of the concert was the performance of "A Youngster's Love," which utilized AI technology to connect the past with the present. An AI video depicted Yangpa during her school years, and a video message from the current Yangpa to her 17-year-old self was revealed. In the video, she offered comfort to her younger self and the audience, saying, "Thank you for dreaming of living through song when you were young. The things I tucked away in drawers always have their names erased by the time I take them out. So, do not cry in hiding, but silently walk your own path." She then demonstrated a connection transcending time and space by singing her debut song alongside the AI-generated 17-year-old Yangpa on the screen.
Guest appearances also enriched each show. During the October 31 performance, singer-songwriter Jeon Jin-hee, who served as the master of this concert and led the songs, performed a solo stage. On November 1, actor Kim Nam-gil appeared as a special guest, drawing a great response from the audience. Centered on the live sounds of an orchestra and a band, the performance combined AI technology to create a meaningful time where the past, present, and fans met in one place.
Concluding the concert, Yangpa expressed her gratitude, saying, "This miraculous stage was possible because of the fans who have been my 'togetherness' for a long time." Ahead of her 30th debut anniversary next year, Yangpa plans to continue meeting the public through diverse musical activities.
