JO, a member of the group &TEAM, released his first solo pictorial with the fashion magazine 'ELLE' on September 22. In this pictorial, JO boasted unrivaled visuals, simultaneously revealing a boy's pure image and a young man's cool atmosphere. In the close-up shots, he created an atmosphere like a work of art with facial features and clear eyes reminiscent of a character in a romance manga.
According to media reports, regarding his first solo pictorial shoot, JO shared his feelings, saying, "I was so excited that I fell asleep while imagining what kind of concept and clothes I would encounter," and "Today's shoot was truly 'wan-nae-seu' (completely my style)." Through the interview, as he approaches his 4th anniversary since debut, he confessed to having a broader perspective as an artist and expressed his ambition to challenge new fields such as drawing or acting in addition to stage performances.
JO will take on his first leading role on the big screen through the movie 'WANDANCE', which is set to be released in Japan on November 27. Playing the protagonist 'Kaboku Kotani', he expressed his affection for the work, saying, "The excitement was greater than the pressure. I thought about the character every day and gradually built the person," and "The image of Kaboku growing through meeting dance is similar to me."
Additionally, regarding &TEAM's 2nd Korean mini album 'Mark on Me', he explained, "The core narrative is the process of a person who has become cold due to wounds meeting someone who accepts them as they are and regaining love and warmth." He added, "While we have shown the freshness of youth and boys so far, this time we wanted to show &TEAM gradually heading towards becoming adults." JO's pictorial and the full interview can be found in the October issue of 'ELLE' and on its official website.
