Bae Gang-hee, who played the young Lee Sa-ra in 'The Glory', has made his screen debut in the film 'Final Interview' (directed by Kim Jeong-hun), which was released on the 4th. Having not majored in acting, he secured the role through a single audition; the director reportedly found his performance intriguing, noting how his eyes became bloodshot and his body turned red during emotional scenes.
'Final Interview' tells the story of six applicants who gather for a final interview after overcoming a 5,000-to-1 competition rate during the pandemic, only to fall into chaos upon discovering mysterious envelopes containing their respective secrets. Bae Gang-hee plays Cha Ju-won, a perfectionist who maintains composure amidst the confusion, and comes into conflict with Baek Seung-bin, played by Shin Seung-ho. He described Cha Ju-won as "a person who had to be perfect, rather than a perfectionist."
The film stars six actors of a similar age, including Bae Gang-hee, Cho Yi-hyun, Kim Jae-won, Kang You-seok, Shin Seung-ho, and Kwak Dong-yeon. "I am so grateful to 'The Glory' for making me known," Bae Gang-hee said. "With this work, I want to approach the public in a more friendly way."
After majoring in design at university and working as a model for three years, Bae Gang-hee took a two-year break from work due to a sense of inner emptiness. During that period, he began acting after becoming fascinated by films, which he watched six times a day.
