Card Gorilla selects Shinhan Card Mr.Life as the number one most popular credit card for the third quarter of 2026
Card Gorilla announced its most popular credit card rankings for the third quarter of 2026, with Shinhan Card Mr.Life taking the top spot.
Card Gorilla has announced the popular credit card rankings for the third quarter of 2026. In this tally, Shinhan Card Mr.Life rose to first place, followed by KB Kookmin Card Good Day Card and Samsung iD SELECT ALL Card.
This ranking was calculated based on product inquiry counts and application conversion rates integrated across PC and mobile on the Card Gorilla website from July 1 to September 20. It appears that benefits tailored to reducing living expenses and consumption patterns still serve as core criteria for card selection. However, a trend of more segmented selection criteria is also visible, as cards focusing on specific areas such as easy payment and online consumption have entered the top ranks.
Shinhan Card Mr.Life, which took first place, is a card that has stood at the top in 6 out of the 8 year-end settlements conducted in 2024 and 2025. This year, it reclaimed the lead after having yielded its position to the Samsung iD SELECT ALL Card. This card provides 24-hour discount benefits at convenience stores, hospitals/pharmacies, and laundries, and applies a 10% discount in the online shopping, taxi, and food/beverage sectors between 9 PM and 9 AM. On weekends, it also offers a 10% discount at large marts and a 60 won discount per liter at gas stations. It is also characterized by including internet, home phone, and bundled products in its monthly bill discount targets.
Second place was taken by KB Kookmin Card Good Day Card. With an annual fee of 5,000 won for domestic use and 10,000 won for international use, it has the lowest annual fee among the top 10 cards in the third quarter. If the previous month's usage is 300,000 won or more, a 60 won discount per liter of gasoline and a 10% discount on telecommunications and transportation fees are applied, and if it is 600,000 won or more, the benefit range expands to restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, and pharmacies. At 1.2 million won or more, academies and fitness centers are also included in the discount targets.
Third place was occupied by the Samsung iD SELECT ALL Card, which was the number one card in the first half of the year. Users can receive benefits by choosing one from domestic merchants, apartment management fees/telecommunications, or education, and one from online shopping malls/medical/delivery apps or restaurants/convenience stores/discount stores/gas stations. A 5% discount is provided in lifestyle convenience areas such as DAISO, NOL Ticket, Aladin, and Wine & More, and digital content and membership regular payments receive a 50% discount. Payments at overseas merchants receive a 2% discount without any previous month's performance conditions or limits.
Fourth place was Samsung Card & MILEAGE PLATINUM (SKYPASS). This card earns a base of 1 mile per 1,000 won of domestic and international usage without any previous month's performance conditions or accumulation limits. Depending on whether the domestic or international type is selected, additional accumulation is possible at department stores, gas stations, coffee shops, convenience stores, taxis, or overseas merchants. If issued as an international card, Amex Platinum grade services are also provided.
Fifth place was taken by Hyundai Card American Express® Gold Card Edition2. It is the only premium card among the top 10, allowing for a maximum accumulation of 3MR per 1,000 won of usage. It provides a 200,000 won travel/shopping voucher and a 50,000 won membership/shopping voucher once a year, and includes 10 free airport lounge visits per year, hotel room upgrades, and hotel restaurant discount benefits.
KB Kookmin Card occupied the 6th and 7th places respectively. KB Kookmin My WE:SH Card provides discounts on KB Pay, restaurants/convenience stores, mobile telecommunications fees, and OTT, and in addition, users can choose one among 'Serious about Eating', 'Serious about Playing', or 'Serious about Management' depending on their lifestyle. KB NEED Pay Card focuses on online consumption benefits such as easy payment, online fashion malls, and digital content/memberships.
8th place is Shinhan Card Cheoeum (ANNIVERSE). It provides accumulation benefits for daily expenditures such as food/beverage, online shopping, travel, and regular payments, and additional points can be received if consumption management conditions such as planned consumption and immediate payment are met. 9th place was Hyundai Alphabet Card S, and 10th place was Samsung iD SELECT UP Card. Hyundai Alphabet Card S provides specialized benefits for online/offline shopping, and in addition, provides discounts on coffee, convenience stores, and public transportation if the previous month's performance is 400,000 won or more, while Samsung iD SELECT UP Card provides benefits for domestic merchants, shopping, and leisure, along with a discount in one of the medical or lifestyle areas if the previous month's performance is 500,000 won or more.
Ko Seung-hun, CEO of Card Gorilla, said, "While cards providing various lifestyle-integrated benefits are appearing in the upper ranks of the popularity chart, it is notable that cards specialized in specific areas such as easy payment, online consumption, and shopping are entering the top 10. It seems that demand to receive even benefits across various living expense items and demand to concentrate on benefits in specific areas are appearing together."
