Lee So-na and Kim Dong-hyun are set to preview another fantastic harmony on TV CHOSUN's 'Miss Trot For You'.
In the 24th episode of 'Miss Trot For You' airing November 5, the 'Jewelry Box Special' main competition will take place. Attention is focused on how the secret stages prepared by each team will shake up the landscape for the championship.
On this day, the 'Charcoal and Cider' team consisting of Lee So-na and Kim Dong-hyun will perform a duet of Byun Jin-sub's 'Come Back to Me'. Having previously drawn praise for an "all-time great stage" with Kim Min-woo's 'It's Only Love', the two are once again making a strategic move with a ballad. Kim Dong-hyun heightened expectations by joking, "I'm worried my own share of the food might shrink," as he expressed admiration for Lee So-na's wide range of genre versatility.
In the subsequent individual competition, Lee So-na selected Kim Sang-bae's 'Asian Lizard's Tail'. While she showed the charm of ballads during the duet stage, she is now engaging in a direct confrontation with her specialty, traditional trot.
Lee So-na filled the stage with delicate emotional expressions different from the original song, proving the power of a 'Jin' (winner). It is reported that praises of "As expected of Lee So-na" poured in from the scene. Anticipation is building as to whether Lee So-na, who has performed across genres from ballads to traditional trot, can seize the victory.
Meanwhile, Gil Ryeo-won is also aiming for victory with traditional trot. On this day, Gil Ryeo-won selected Joo Hyun-mi's 'Rain on Yeongdong Bridge' and fully demonstrated her killer technique of "kkokki" (vocal inflection). After the stage ended, all performers gave a standing ovation, and MC Boom could not hide his admiration, exclaiming, "This is trot." Having reached 2nd place in the preliminaries and moving one step closer to the singer's seat, curiosity is piqued as to whether Gil Ryeo-won can taste the joy of her first victory.
Meanwhile, TV CHOSUN's 'Miss Trot For You' airs tonight (the 5th) at 10 PM.
