October 18 at Yeouido Hangang Park, an Adoption Festival to Meet 200 Abandoned Dogs

PIMKEY, a temporary protection and adoption platform for abandoned animals, has revealed the participating star lineup for the 'PIMKEY Red Carpet Adoption Festival,' a large-scale abandoned dog adoption event to be held at Yeouido Hangang Park during the '2026 Seoul Animal Happiness Festival' on October 18.

This event is the largest adoption event in the country, where approximately 200 abandoned dogs will gather in one place, and it will be held as a main program of the '2026 Seoul Animal Happiness Festival' following last year. Centered around the 'Red Carpet Runway,' where abandoned dogs—who were previously only met through online adoption notices or shelters—step directly before citizens to show their individual charms, the event proposes a 'festival-style adoption culture' where people can directly meet and interact with abandoned animals to discover their new charms.

In particular, this year, stars who have consistently shown interest in abandoned animal issues and animal welfare have gathered to ensure that abandoned dogs who are relatively difficult to find families in the domestic adoption environment, such as senior dogs, large dogs, and disabled dogs, can receive more attention. Various stars from different fields, including actors, singers, idols, dancers, and broadcasters, expressed their willingness to participate in sympathy with the purpose of the event, and they plan to help so that the abandoned dogs can walk the red carpet directly and meet more interest and new families.

If there is an abandoned dog on the red carpet that catches your eye, you can apply for temporary protection or adoption counseling on-site to have additional meetings and interact directly with the puppy. Afterward, temporary protection or adoption will be finalized through individual counseling and screening processes with the relevant organization in charge of the abandoned dog.

Jang Sin-jae, CEO of Pimpy Virus, said, "It is not that we invited abandoned dogs to a place where stars shine, but that stars are joining the abandoned dogs at the place where they shine the most. In particular, I hope that abandoned dogs who have not been able to meet a family for the longest time can be noticed by more people this time and get the chance to meet new families."

'PIMKEY Red Carpet Adoption Festival' will be held around the plaza in front of the Waterlight Stage at Yeouido Hangang Park on October 18. The Red Carpet Runway will be held twice, in Part 1 at 10:30 AM and Part 2 at 3:00 PM, and the participating dogs will differ for each time. Anyone can watch freely without a separate reservation.
