According to the ratings research firm Nielsen Korea, in the cumulative Asian Games ratings TOP 10 for the 2049 demographic in the Seoul metropolitan area from September 20 to 22, SBS occupied all positions from 1st to 5th. Out of the entire TOP 10, 7 were SBS broadcasts, highlighting SBS's strength in major matches.

The match that recorded the highest rating was the men's basketball South Korea vs. Japan final broadcast by SBS on September 20, which ranked 1st overall with a 2049 rating of 3.1% in the metropolitan area and 850,000 viewers. Following this, SBS swept from 2nd to 5th place with the men's baseball South Korea vs. Taiwan match (2049 2.2%, 620,000 viewers), women's volleyball South Korea vs. Japan semifinal (1.8%, 430,000 viewers), women's swimming 400m relay final (1.8%, 570,000 viewers), and men's swimming 100m backstroke final (1.5%, 540,000 viewers).

In particular, all SBS broadcasted matches named in the TOP 5 recorded over 400,000 viewers, proving high interest. Additionally, with the men's swimming 100m freestyle final (1.4%, 580,000 viewers) and men's football South Korea vs. Saudi Arabia match (1.2%, 500,000 viewers) also included in the TOP 10, SBS dominated 7 out of the TOP 10, covering major sports such as basketball, baseball, volleyball, swimming, and football.

As such, SBS is showing overwhelming rating competitiveness in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, not only sweeping the top tier of the 2049 ratings but also recording high viewer numbers in major matches.
