Singer Huh Gak Announces Legal Action Against Companies Using His Name and False Advertising

OS Project, the agency of singer Huh Gak, announced that it has confirmed the unauthorized use of Huh Gak's name and photos regarding an opening event for a restaurant located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do, and will take legal action.

On the 4th, the company in question requested Huh Gak's twin brother, Huh Gong, to perform at an opening event to be held on the 29th. However, the company engaged in false advertising by posting Huh Gak's photos on platforms such as the Naver Place news section, claiming that Huh Gak would make a surprise appearance and perform.

The agency explained that although they received an explanation from the company that it was a professional mistake, inappropriate responses continued afterward, such as insufficient deletion of promotional materials, failure to post an apology, and maintaining promotional materials on-site on the day of the event. In particular, instances of damage are being confirmed, with reports received from visitors to the site stating they were informed that Huh Gak would be arriving soon.

Huh Gak's side made it clear that there was absolutely no promise to appear at the event in question. Based on the materials currently secured, a legal review is underway, and they plan to take all possible civil and criminal legal measures against the company that infringed upon the artist's honor and rights.
