TV CHOSUN ‘Trot Kitchen: Traveling Dinner Show’ made viewers laugh and cry with a hearty meal and a special concert for the table tennis rising stars in Cheongyang.

In the 2nd episode of TV CHOSUN ‘Trot Kitchen: Traveling Dinner Show’ (produced by TME Group, directed by Moon Tae-ju, hereinafter ‘Trot Kitchen: Traveling Dinner Show’) aired on the 12th, Lee Soo-geun, Kim Yong-bin, Chef Yoon Na-ra (the 'Sool-making Yoon Jumo' from ‘Culinary Class Wars’), Chef Lim Tae-hoon (the 'Steel Box Chef'), and daily part-timers Na Sang-do and Nam Seung-min visited a middle school table tennis club in Cheongyang, Chungnam, to serve a special meal and enjoyed a joyful performance with residents at the Cheonjang Lake Suspension Bridge.

On this day, the members began their second journey at the famous Chilgapsan Tower in Cheongyang. When Kim Yong-bin appeared singing ‘Chilgapsan Mountain’, Lee Soo-geun suddenly accused him of being late, saying, “You're deceiving the filming and coming late because you became a little famous.” In response, Kim Yong-bin appealed his unfairness by saying, “No, I'm not,” but as he laughed it off without much explanation, Lee Soo-geun added warmth by praising his gentle personality, saying, “He is so kind that he doesn't even say anything.”

The place the members visited was a middle school table tennis club in Cheongyang. As students from all over the country gather in Cheongyang, a region with a declining population, to learn table tennis, the school is bustling with students studying from various parts of the nation. Above all, they are consistently achieving good results in national competitions due to systematic training and active support from the school.

In the midst of this, an unexpected table tennis match was arranged. Chef Lim Tae-hoon faced off against a 14-year-old ace student from the table tennis club. Knowing the student had a father who was a former national athlete, Chef Lim Tae-hoon was flustered, asking, “Isn't this a foul?” In an 11-point single match where Chef Lim Tae-hoon was given a 9-point head start, he drove the match to a 10-10 deuce with unexpected skill. However, as the student won, the members prepared a special meal for the table tennis club as promised.

However, only 3 hours were given to prepare food for 40 people. Chef Lim Tae-hoon took charge of Gan-jjajang and Menbosha, while Chef Yoon Na-ra took charge of braised short ribs, entering a full-scale cooking war. Ultimately, facing a flood of work, Chef Lim Tae-hoon sweated, saying, “Without adding a single lie, it's like ‘Culinary Class Wars’,” and Chef Yoon Na-ra also said, “It's been a while since I've been this stressed. It feels like we're filming ‘Culinary Class Wars’.”

Meanwhile, Kim Yong-bin and Nam Seung-min visited a melon farm to find dessert ingredients. The two burned with competitiveness, engaging in an impromptu battle over the quality of the melons they harvested themselves. Kim Yong-bin showed confidence, saying, “I have a good eye,” and even received praise from the farm owner, saying, “You learn ten things when I teach you one,” securing his victory. The defeated Nam Seung-min boosted the mood by singing ‘Because I Miss You’ as a penalty, providing laughter as they bickered until the end.

After finishing preparations through many ups and downs, the table tennis rising stars arrived one after another. As the two chefs' magnificent dishes were served on the table, the students responded with a storm of eating. In particular, one student tasted the Menbosha and marveled, saying, “This is the best Menbosha I've ever eaten,” and as there were continuous requests for refills of the braised short ribs, Chef Yoon Na-ra expressed her pride, saying, “I am so happy.” When Kim Yong-bin, watching them eat, expressed his emptiness, saying, “It takes all day to make, but it doesn't even take an hour to eat,” Na Sang-do drew laughter by responding, “Yong-bin, singing is the same. You practice a song hundreds of times just to finish it in 3 minutes. We are even worse.”

The final schedule in Cheongyang was a special performance held at the Cheonjang Lake Suspension Bridge. Taking the stage amidst the cheers of residents, Kim Yong-bin opened the performance with his sweet voice, selecting ‘I Fell in Love’, a song he is singing for the first time, saying, “I fell in love in Cheongyang.” Following this, Na Sang-do sang ‘What You Mean to Me’ passionately, further raising the atmosphere. This was followed by a continuous stage by Nam Seung-min, delivering emotion.

In particular, Kim Yong-bin, who performed a duet with Nam Seung-min, showed his affection by saying, “I will sing Nam Seung-min’s ‘A Foolish Person’. It is a song I personally like,” and “To be honest, it's a song I want to steal.” To this, Nam Seung-min responded, “It is my song, but actually, hyung sings it better.” At this, Kim Yong-bin cheekily responded, “Then give it to me,” making everyone burst into laughter.

The heat of the performance reached its peak during Na Sang-do's stage. Lee Soo-geun praised him, saying, “He brightened the stage today and did a great job as a mood maker. I didn't know this friend was so good at broadcasting.” In response, Na Sang-do sang Yoon Soo-il's ‘APT.’ upon receiving requests from the audience, and turned the scene into a joyful festival by directly inducing participation from the residents.

Expectations are rising for what kind of special neighbors ‘Trot Kitchen: Traveling Dinner Show’ will meet next to deliver emotion, while warmly capturing the lives and dreams of local residents along with taste and excitement. TV CHOSUN ‘Trot Kitchen: Traveling Dinner Show’ airs every Monday at 10 PM.
