Group TWS is launching a special pop-up store in Seongsu-dong to celebrate the release of their official characters, 'TWIMI'.
The group TWS is presenting a special pop-up store to celebrate the launch of their official characters, ‘TWIMI’. According to their agency, Pledis Entertainment, the ‘TWS Official Character POP-UP’ is scheduled to be held from the 28th of this month to the 4th of next month at P&R Seongsu in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. Online pre-reservations for visiting this pop-up will be conducted through the global super-fan platform Weverse starting from 1 PM on the 23rd.
‘TWIMI’ is an abbreviation for ‘TWS Minimi’ and was created to capture the personalities of the six members: SHINYU (Jjok), DOHOON (Dojuni), YOUNGJAE (Gichuni), HANJIN (Hanbit), JIHOON (Haetpi), and KYUNGMIN (Haemtaengi). The animation recently released on the team's official YouTube channel introduced the theme of this pop-up, telling the story of the characters embarking on a forest adventure to find the legendary treasure ‘42’. The pop-up space will also be decorated with a concept where visitors explore a deep forest together with the characters.
On-site, there will be a photo zone with a treasure map background, a space displaying character ID cards, and a merch zone selling 14 types of items. In the outdoor area, a group photo zone and a photo booth with character frames will be installed, and a hidden spot where fans can check messages from the members toward the fandom name ‘42’ is also prepared, drawing high expectations.
Meanwhile, TWS released the Chinese version of ‘hey! hey!’, a track from their 2nd mini album ‘SUMMER BEAT!’, on the 21st. This song was first revealed at the Macau performance of the Asia tour ‘24/7:FOR:YOU’ held from the 19th to the 20th, drawing a passionate response from the local audience.
