Hwaseong City Cultural Foundation to open ticket sales October 27 for two December performances
The Hwaseong City Cultural Foundation will present two special year-end performances in December, featuring classical music with Kim Dae-jin and a show choir concert with Son Seung-yeon.
The Hwaseong City Cultural Foundation is set to present two special planned performances this December, designed to help audiences fill the final pages of the year with family, friends, and loved ones. The lineup offers diverse musical charms, ranging from classical performances featuring top-tier domestic pianists and next-generation performers to a show choir performance that combines grand harmonies with spectacular performances.
‘Kim Dae-jin with Rising Artist Ⅱ’, a collaboration between the Hwaseong City Cultural Foundation and Korea National University of Arts, will take place on December 12 at 5:00 PM. Under the theme "Schubert with Depth and Reflection," the concert will multidimensionally showcase the unique lyricism and depth of Schubert through various arrangements, including solo piano, guitar and piano duets, and piano quintets.
The performance will feature pianist Kim Dae-jin, who has served as a professor and president of Korea National University of Arts, alongside next-generation musicians who studied at the institution: violinist Kang Yu-gyeong, violist Yoon So-hee, cellist Lee Dong-yeol, double bassist Choi Seung-gyu, and guitarist Jang Seung-ho, who is currently nurturing new talent. This meeting of performers across generations is expected to provide a rich chamber music stage where the individualities of each instrument harmonize.
The year-end planned performance ‘Harmonize Concert Winter & Christmas with Son Seung-yeon’ will be held on Saturday, December 19 at 5:00 PM. Harmonize, Korea's first show choir group founded in 2013, presents the essence of modern choral music through stages that combine diverse pop harmonies with dynamic performances. For this concert, top-tier vocalist Son Seung-yeon will join the group, adding explosive vocal power to the grand harmonies.
The stage will feature familiar songs such as Christmas carols, film music, and popular songs, providing a performance that people of all ages can enjoy. This concert, blending diverse harmonies with dynamic performances, is expected to provide audiences with warm year-end memories to conclude the year specially.
