HYBE reports record third-quarter revenue and profit driven by BTS tours
HYBE reported record-breaking third-quarter revenue of 1.5257 trillion won and operating profit of 188.5 billion won, exceeding market expectations.
HYBE announced on September 3 that its third-quarter revenue reached 1.5257 trillion won, surpassing market forecasts by 13.6% and marking a significant turnaround from last year's 42.2 billion won operating loss. The company is now on track to reach a record 4 trillion won in annual revenue following successful world tours by BTS and several other artists.
In a public disclosure on September 3, HYBE announced that its third-quarter revenue for 2026 reached 1.5257 trillion won, with an operating profit of 188.5 billion won. This represents a significant improvement from the operating loss of 42.2 billion won recorded during the same period last year and exceeds the market forecast of 166 billion won by 13.6%.
Beyond the operating profit, which surpassed the forecasts compiled by Yonhap Infomax, the company also recorded a net profit of 11.3 billion won. Cumulative revenue through the third quarter has reached 3.674 trillion won, which is evaluated as a green light toward the goal of reaching 4 trillion won in annual revenue, a first for a domestic music agency.
HYBE explained that these results represent "the highest quarterly figures for both revenue and operating profit," noting that the previous record was set in the second quarter of 2025 with 1.45 trillion won in revenue and 170.9 billion won in operating profit during the 'ARIRANG' world tour. The company further emphasized that these figures prove its successful structural evolution into a global top-tier entertainment platform company beyond being just a K-pop enterprise.
By division, concert revenue reached 726.8 billion won, breaking quarterly records due to the success of the BTS world tour. The album and digital music division recorded 282.8 billion won as new and old releases worked in harmony, while the MD and licensing division contributed significantly to high-profit revenue with 334.6 billion won in sales.
HYBE stated that "the BTS tours in Europe and the US, which mobilized audiences of up to 70,000 per show, the ENHYPEN Americas tour, and tours conducted in the third quarter by LE SSERAFIM, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, ILLIT, KATSEYE, and CORTIS" contributed significantly to the revenue increase through the tours and performances of numerous artists.
