The Kakao Creative Foundation will host its 22nd Grow Up Talk & Talk on the 30th, featuring hit composers Kim Su-bin, Kim Se-jin, and Lee Jin-sung to provide practical industry insights for aspiring music creators.
The Kakao Creative Foundation, under Kakao Entertainment, will hold the 22nd Grow Up Talk & Talk, a free offline lecture program for aspiring music creators, on the 30th. Since 2024, this talent cultivation project has aimed to foster a healthy creative ecosystem across all sectors of K-content, including music, webtoons, and web novels.
The lecture series will feature speakers Kim Su-bin and Kim Se-jin, composers who have produced songs at the top of music charts, along with Lee Jin-sung of Monday Kiz. Serving as a practical bridge between active professionals and aspiring creators, the program will cover the process of producing hit songs and methods for securing competitiveness in the K-pop music market.
The first session will be led by Kim Su-bin, CEO of Aiming Music Company. Under the theme "How a Composer Survives and Grows in the Industry," she will share expertise regarding ballad and band sounds based on her experience composing and arranging M.C The Max's "Like the First Time," Big Mama's "Just One More Day," and arranging N.Flying's "Rooftop" and Lee Changsub's "Heavenly Fate."
Following this, composer Kim Se-jin will lecture on "Making Hit Songs Chosen by the Public." Drawing on experience creating widely known tracks such as LYn's "You Loved Me," Kim Na-young's "You More Than the Scent of Spring," SG Wannabe's "Let's Love," and Ailee's "Because Tears Stole My Heart," he will outline the process of music production.
The final lecture will be delivered by Lee Jin-sung, who leads Monday Kiz Company and the YouTube channel Studio Dreaming. Based on his experience composing Monday Kiz's "Autumn Greetings" and Kim Na-young's "To Be Honest, I," he plans to suggest ways to find new possibilities in the rapidly changing music market. An official from the Kakao Creative Foundation stated, "This is an opportunity to learn vivid, on-site know-how from creators who have crafted masterpiece songs loved for generations. We will continue to contribute to creating a healthy creative ecosystem through programs that share the practical experiences of industry experts and support the growth of creators."
