Park Hyo-shin and PLAVE's YEJUN to serve as special DJs for 'On a Starry Night'

Singer Park Hyo-shin and YEJUN of the virtual idol group PLAVE will meet listeners as special DJs for MBC FM4U's 'On a Starry Night' this November. According to MBC Radio, Park Hyo-shin will host for four days from November 2 to 5, followed by YEJUN for three days from the 6th to the 8th, while DJ Kim Eana is away. This marks Park Hyo-shin's third time serving as a special DJ, following his appearances in 2022 and 2024, while YEJUN will take the microphone as a 'Starry Night' host for the first time. Both artists have previously been connected to the program through guest appearances in the invitation seat and various corners.

Park Hyo-shin to host for four days starting the 2nd

Park Hyo-shin will host 'On a Starry Night' as a special DJ from Monday, November 2, to Thursday, November 5. According to MBC Radio, this will be Park Hyo-shin's third scheduled stint as a special DJ. He first served as a special DJ in September 2022 when DJ Kim Eana went on vacation, marking his return to radio hosting after approximately 10 years and meeting listeners as the host for one week.

In January 2024, Park Hyo-shin again filled in for Kim Eana as a special DJ for one week. The schedule at that time was from January 29 to February 4, and his acquaintances, including BTS's V and actor Gang Dong-won, appeared as guests. Subsequently, in January last year, he appeared in the 'Starry Night' invitation seat to share behind-the-scenes stories regarding the production of his new song 'HERO' and his music. This time, rather than appearing as a guest in the invitation seat or a corner, he will host the program for four days. MBC Radio announced that Park Hyo-shin will meet listeners as a special 'Starry Night' host during this period.

YEJUN's first challenge as host

YEJUN of PLAVE will serve as a special DJ for three days from Friday, November 6, to Sunday, November 8. This schedule follows immediately after Park Hyo-shin's hosting period and continues through the weekend. While YEJUN has appeared in the 'Starry Night' invitation seat and corners before, this will be his first time hosting as the 'Starry Night' host. According to MBC Radio, YEJUN will pick up the hosting microphone for the first time through this special DJ role.

PLAVE first met listeners through the 'Starry Night' invitation seat in April. Since then, YEJUN has participated as a special corner host for the Wednesday corner 'Open for Business'. Following the group's appearance in the invitation seat, YEJUN appeared individually in a corner, and now he is set to host as a special DJ. This represents a progression of his connection to the program from invitation seat guest to corner host, and now to host. Park Hyo-shin and YEJUN will host on different dates, with their special DJ schedules continuing until November 8.

Hosting schedules and broadcast channels

The hosting periods for the two artists are four days for Park Hyo-shin and three days for YEJUN. Park Hyo-shin will host during the early part of the week from the 2nd to the 5th, and YEJUN will host from the 6th to the final day on the 8th. Both will take turns hosting the program while Kim Eana is away. MBC Radio stated that the two special DJs will host 'On a Starry Night' according to their respective schedules.

'On a Starry Night' is an MBC Radio program broadcast every evening from 8 PM to 10 PM on MBC FM4U. The frequency for the metropolitan area is 91.9MHz. The broadcast can also be heard through the official website and the MBC Radio app 'mini'. Online, it can be listened to via the YouTube channels 'Mhz: MBC RADIO' and 'IDOL RADIO UNIVERSE'. MBC Radio introduced this as its longest-running program.

A connection through invitation seats and corners

Even after serving as a special DJ twice, Park Hyo-shin has appeared on 'Starry Night'. In September 2022, he first took on the role of special DJ during Kim Eana's vacation, and in January 2024, he again handled hosting for one week. Following that, in January last year, he shared stories about the production of 'HERO' and his music during an invitation seat appearance. This November schedule marks his third appearance as a special DJ hosting the program. During his previous two stints, he hosted for one week each rather than four days, but this time he will host for four days from November 2 to 5.

YEJUN and PLAVE have also appeared on the program through participation in invitation seats and corners. PLAVE first met 'Starry Night' listeners in the invitation seat this past April, and YEJUN subsequently appeared as a special corner host for the Wednesday corner 'Open for Business'. This time, he appears as a special DJ rather than as a guest for the group's invitation seat or corner. Having gone through hosting and invitation seat appearances in the past, Park Hyo-shin is taking on the role of 'Starry Night' host again, and YEJUN is hosting for the first time following his appearance as a corner host. The special DJ broadcasts for both will continue from November 2 to November 8.

Park Hyo-shin will host 'On a Starry Night' from November 2 to 5, and YEJUN will host from the 6th to the 8th. The broadcast can be heard every evening from 8 PM to 10 PM on MBC FM4U and 91.9MHz in the metropolitan area, with listening also possible through the official website, 'mini', and YouTube channels.
