Lim Young-woong Reclaims 1st Place in Trot Category of K-Brand Index... Lee Chan-won Surges to 2nd
Lim Young-woong has reclaimed the top spot in the K-Brand Index for trot singers, while Lee Chan-won saw a significant rise to second place.
The Asia Brand Institute announced the K-Brand Index for the trot singer category for August 2026. As a result of analyzing approximately 827.2 million pieces of online big data targeting the top 30 individuals in portal site search volume during the month of August, Lim Young-woong rose to the top.
In this survey, Lim Young-woong reclaimed the throne by taking 1st place, and Lee Chan-won's ranking rose significantly from 6th place last month to 2nd place. Following them, Park Ji-hyun recorded 3rd, Sung-ri 4th, and Park Seo-jin 5th. Kim Yong-bin, Young Tak, Jang Han-byeol, Jang Yoon-jeong, and Jeon Yoo Jin followed, placing their names within the top 10.
Ryu Won-sun, head of the Research Center at the Asia Brand Institute, analyzed, “As the trot market expands into content that encompasses all generations beyond the middle-aged and elderly, activities in various touchpoints such as variety shows and performances have become a key factor in determining public influence.” These results suggest that rather than fixed recognition, topicality at specific points in time and the solidarity of the supporter base are driving changes in rankings.
The K-Brand Index is an indicator that diagnoses public perception and response based on online big data. This analysis was calculated based on the online index, excluding offline figures.
