NEXT LEVEL Studio Launches Webtoon Collaboration Tool 'CRECO'... Available from Free Plan

Webtoon production company NEXT LEVEL Studio Inc. announced that it officially launched 'CRECO', a webtoon collaboration platform developed in-house over three years, on September 1. After undergoing verification by major domestic production companies during its closed beta period, CRECO has transitioned into an official service that can be used by all webtoon studios and creators.

With the slogan 'Boundless Creation,' CRECO is a service that provides a new collaborative environment where creators are connected as one, breaking the boundaries of creation. It aims to support the entire webtoon production process within a single workspace and create a creative environment that transcends the limits of ideas.

Integrating production processes scattered across messengers, cloud, and Excel into a single workspace

Until now, webtoon production sites have operated with processes scattered across messengers, cloud folders, and Excel files. In the process of passing files between numerous workers through various stages such as storyboards, line art, coloring, and lettering, questions like "Which one is the final version?" were repeated, and version confusion and communication costs were pointed out as factors that reduced production efficiency.

CRECO has enabled users to generate versions with a single click and share the latest work with desired settings via a single link, based on a data structure that flows from Project-EPISODE-Process-Version-Result. Additionally, it has increased communication efficiency and managed scattered production processes in one place by adding viewer-based feedback optimized for webtoon production, a comparison mode that allows viewing results of each process side-by-side without switching tabs, and detailed permission management and activity log functions for each team member.

As the company is expanding to allow text-based work, such as written storyboards, to be handled within the same work management structure as image work, it is expected to serve as a foundation for expanding the collaborative environment to content centered on text, such as web novels.
