Nuverse, a game developer and publisher under ByteDance, announced that its cross-platform action RPG 'Crystal of Atlan' will hold a collaboration with the TV animation 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex'.
Set against the world of 'Crystal of Atlan' where magic and machinery coexist, this collaboration features various contents utilizing the settings and elements of 'Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C.'. Users can participate in collaboration-exclusive dungeons and events, and encounter limited pets and mounts featuring characters from the original work.
'Ghost in the Shell' is a work based on the 1989 manga 'THE GHOST IN THE SHELL' by Masamune Shirow. The subject of this collaboration, 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex', is a TV animation broadcast in 2002 that depicts the activities of Public Security Section 9 in the year 2030, a period where information networks and cyborg technology have advanced.
In this collaboration, a new story unfolds as Public Security Section 9 detects an unidentified signal in Atlan. In the process of tracking the signal, special zones reflecting the tactical style of Public Security Section 9 appear, and the world of highly advanced electronic networks and cyborg technology intersects with Atlan, where magic and machinery coexist. This worldview is also reflected in the collaboration dungeon, 'Simulated Combat Zone'.
The 'Simulated Combat Zone' is a mini-game where four users each control a 'Tachikoma'. Users shoot other users or monsters to collect 'Ultimate Gears', which can be used to upgrade the Tachikoma. If defeated by another user, a portion of the held 'Ultimate Gears' is dropped, and users can acquire items such as 'Special Cyborg' and 'Neural Chips' based on their final ranking.
Additionally, the event 'Abyss of Memories' will be held to unlock information clues. Users can consume SP to obtain 'Electronic Cores' and increase the clue unlocking progress to receive rewards provided at each stage. Furthermore, in the 'Tactical Consultation' content, users can use 'Neural Chips' to increase levels and obtain various collaboration rewards.
Limited pets and mounts will also appear during the collaboration period. Motoko Kusanagi, a character from 'Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C.', will be added in pet form, and the multi-legged tank 'Tachikoma' will appear as a mount. A total of five types of paintings are provided for the Tachikoma mount, allowing users to change its appearance.
'Crystal of Atlan' is also undergoing updates for new adventure content and level expansion alongside this collaboration. Through this update, the maximum character level will be expanded to 80, and a new adventure chapter 'Hymn of Salvation', a new map 'Ice Canyon Cathedral', and new equipment will be added.
During the event period, users can participate in various contents such as the 'Reminiscence of the Journey' puzzle and the boss challenge 'Great Demon King Pumpkin'. Users can also find hidden pumpkins to unlock hidden achievements or collect 'Midnight Candy' to exchange for rewards. Additionally, completing the 'Amazing Land' main story will sequentially unlock event missions, and completing these missions allows users to obtain the limited-time hair ornament 'Pumpkin Head'.
'Crystal of Atlan' is a cross-platform arcane-punk action RPG set in Atlan, where magic and machinery coexist. Users become members of the Thornbird Adventurers Association to explore Atlan and enjoy various combat and growth contents.
More detailed information about the game can be found on the official website and community channels.
