French jewelry brand FRED showcased its new high jewelry collection, ‘Monsieur Fred Golden Light,’ at the Seoul Auction Gangnam Center from October 20 to 24 to celebrate its 90th anniversary. The event was themed around the light-seeking journey of the founder, Fred Samuel.

This collection represents the final stage of a trilogy dedicated to light. It consists of five chapters based on the solar trajectories of the French Riviera: Moonlight Reflection, Promising Dawn, Crystalline Joy, Blooming Sense, and Soleil d'Or Golden Light. The pieces utilize a variety of gemstones, including tanzanite, opal, emerald, tourmaline, and sapphire.

A highlight of the collection was the ‘Soleil d'Or,’ a yellow diamond of over 100 carats discovered in 1977, which was set as a detachable brooch at the center of a necklace for the first time in the maison's history. Additionally, collaborative works with contemporary artist Yoon Sae-rom were exhibited to enhance the visual completeness of the showcase.

Actors Kim Tae-hee, Yoo Ji-tae, Rhee Min-jung, Kim Nam-gil, and Ahn Eun-jin attended the gala dinner held during the event. Attention is now focused on how the brand's future design direction will provide visual inspiration to the domestic jewelry market.
