SBS has released the first teaser for its new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Nine to Six,' which follows the life of a workaholic, Park Min-young, as love enters her daily routine.
Directed by Lee Hyung-min and Oh Song-hee, written by Choi Ji-o, and produced by Studio S and Samhwa Networks, 'Nine to Six' is an "on-and-off work-life balance" romance. It tells the story of a rational woman who has lived by proving herself through work, and how she rewrites her standards for work, love, and happiness after meeting a kind and emotional man.
The first teaser, released on Thursday the 29th, captures the unusual office atmosphere between Kang I-ji (Park Min-young), a highly capable professional, and Han Seon-woo (Yook Sung-jae), a man full of kindness, stirring anticipation.
The footage first highlights Kang I-ji's sharp professional life. Despite colleagues describing her as "a very demanding person," she responds firmly, "I will organize it according to the manual." The teaser showcases her dignity as a workaholic professional with undeniable skills, leaving viewers curious about whether love can penetrate her flawless work schedule.
Expectations rise as Han Seon-woo makes a sweet approach to Kang I-ji. He offers her bread, telling her to choose her preference, and watches her eat with affectionate eyes. He further triggers a shy smile from Deputy Manager Kang with a sudden flirtation, asking, "Do you know your eyes are sparkling a lot?" He eventually makes a bold move, stating, "I am going to stay right by your side," as the younger man's proactive advances increase the tension.
The professional life of Kang I-ji faces another variable with the appearance of elite General Manager Park Hyeon-tae. He makes an impression with his relaxed charisma, telling Kang I-ji, "Get in. I'll give you a ride." With a sweet younger man and a reliable General Manager, anticipation builds to see if the commute of Deputy Manager Kang, who knows nothing but work, will turn into a path of fluttering hearts.
At the end of the video, Han Seon-woo holds open an elevator door that is about to close, and Kang I-ji, who is already inside, greets him with a bright smile, saying, "Good morning." Han Seon-woo appears momentarily stunned by the unexpected smile from the once-impenetrable Kang I-ji. Interest is gathering regarding the work-life balance romance these two will portray after experiencing sudden fluttering feelings during their commute.
The new SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Nine to Six' is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, November 25, at 9:00 PM.
