SBS's Running Man maintained its position as the top variety show in its time slot on the 1st, reaching a 2.2% viewership rating for the 2049 demographic. The program's ratings have risen steadily from 1.6% on the 18th of last month, with peak viewership during the latest episode hitting 5.9%.

The viewership for SBS's Running Man is on a sharp upward trend, recording its third consecutive weekly increase.

In the episode aired on the 1st, featuring basketball player Lee Hyun-jung and judo athlete Kim Min-jong—both of whom performed notably in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games—the program recorded a 2.2% viewership rating for the 2049 demographic, firmly maintaining its position as the number one variety show in its time slot.

Specifically, Running Man has continued its growth for three weeks, rising from 1.6% on the 18th of last month to 2.1% on the 25th, and reaching 2.2% in this latest broadcast. The peak viewership during the episode soared to 5.9%. (Based on Nielsen Korea data for households in the Seoul metropolitan area)

The episode featured the "Medal-making Elizabeth" race, where the guests experienced the actual diets of the two national athletes and combined hints gathered throughout the course to uncover the secret of the final "gold medal."

During the first mission, "Quiz Basketball," participants had to score a basket and then correctly answer a quiz; however, Lee Hyun-jung revealed a weakness in quizzes, which ultimately led to his team's defeat. Lee expressed his disappointment, saying, "I won a gold medal at the Asian Games, but I lost here," prompting Yoo Jae-suk to offer humorous consolation, stating, "Life isn't that easy."

Additionally, Kim Min-jong showcased a surprising charm by demonstrating his cooking skills starting from the opening. "I love cooking. Pork neck has an appropriate mix of fat and meat," Kim said, using his favorite knife to slice the pork neck. He also drew attention by uniformly slicing onions and peppers alongside the meat.

In the final race results, Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin, Lee Hyun-jung, and the winning trio were awarded gold medals. The remaining members were subjected to a water-slap penalty, during which Lee Hyun-jung volunteered to experience it by saying, "Give me one too," proving himself to be a "Running Man kid."
