SEVENTEEN members JEONGHAN and JOSHUA will launch their first unit with the release of the mini album 'DREAMSCAPE' on the 19th at 6 p.m.
SEVENTEEN members JEONGHAN and JOSHUA will release their first unit mini album, 'DREAMSCAPE', on the 19th at 6 p.m. The seven-song collection features the dance rock title track ‘12 o'clock’ and aims to showcase a more mature sound than previous SEVENTEEN units.
According to Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN's JEONGHAN and JOSHUA have formed a new unit and will release their first mini album, 'DREAMSCAPE', on the 19th at 6 p.m.
The album features seven songs centered on the themes of dreams experienced while sleeping and dreams one wishes to achieve in reality.
“We prepared these seven songs hoping they feel like a single story,” JEONGHAN said through the agency. “I hope you interpret what each song means in your own way and find the hidden metaphors.”
The title track, ‘12 o'clock’, is a dance rock song about chasing after a dream subject while moving between 12 p.m. and 12 a.m.
“JOSHUA and I deliberated on which concept and genre would be best. We also spoke with the staff,” JEONGHAN said. JOSHUA added, “It is an even better song once you see the performance,” noting, “We prepared choreography that captures our image and chemistry.”
The two took a different direction to showcase music distinct from existing SEVENTEEN units. JEONGHAN stated, “I tried to produce a thicker sound than usual. We experimented with many things for each song,” while JOSHUA said, “I researched and recorded to create a more mature and unique feeling than usual.”
JEONGHAN also remarked, “JOSHUA is a friend who tries to develop by finding his own music,” adding, “Since we entered as trainees around the same time, we became close enough to share our hardships and worries with each other.” JOSHUA said, “The teamwork we have built over a long time will likely be captured in the album.”
