SM Entertainment has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the fashion and beauty platform MUSINSA to strengthen marketing competitiveness. At the signing ceremony held on September 14 at the SM headquarters in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, key officials including SM Co-CEO Tak Young-jun and MUSINSA CCO Choi Jae-young attended.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to cooperate in various fields, such as developing content utilizing the intellectual property (IP) of artists belonging to SM and providing online and offline media support. In particular, they intend to focus on providing new IP experiences by expanding the scope of marketing targeting both domestic and international markets.
Previously, the two companies laid the groundwork for collaboration by conducting collaborations to celebrate the release of Hearts2Hearts' 'Lemon Tang' and NCT 127's 'Blingy' albums in July and August. Co-CEO Tak Young-jun expressed his intention to continue branding collaborations in various areas, such as album pop-ups, physical albums, and media in the future.
