Jinyoung and Kim Min-ho to star in youth crime action film Fighter

Actors Jinyoung, Kim Min-ho, Cha Woo-jin, and Lee Seol have been cast in the film 'Fighter', which began filming on the 28th. The story follows an MMA fighter named Hye-seong who becomes involved in an incident involving a cold wallet containing 60 billion won worth of cryptocurrency.

'Fighter' is a youth crime action film about Hye-seong, an unknown MMA fighter dreaming of entering the UFC, who takes on a dangerous request alongside his best friend Won-do and becomes embroiled in an incident surrounding a cold wallet containing 60 billion won worth of cryptocurrency. When Tae-o begins to threaten those close to him, Hye-seong must face his worst enemy to save his friend.

Jinyoung takes on the role of the protagonist, Hye-seong, who works at a sauna to pay for his younger sibling Yu-seong's hospital bills and to settle debts, all while refusing to stop his training. Jinyoung is expected to portray Hye-seong's strong sense of responsibility to protect his family and friends alongside realistic combat action. Kim Min-ho will add energy to the film as Won-do, Hye-seong's best friend and self-proclaimed manager. Won-do is a character who struggles to run a car center he took over with debt, yet believes in Hye-seong's potential more than anyone else.

Cha Woo-jin will increase the tension by appearing as Tae-o, Hye-seong's worst enemy. Tae-o pushes Hye-seong to the edge with a meticulousness and tenacity that uses anyone to achieve his goals. Lee Seol joins the cast as Ji-na, a nurse at the hospital where Yu-seong is hospitalized, depicting the process of her gradually becoming closer to Hye-seong and sharing subtle fluttering emotions.

According to media reports, 'Fighter' began filming on the 28th and is in production with a target release in 2027.
