The group H.O.T. has marked its 30th anniversary this year. In a written interview conducted on September 2, member Tony An expressed his feelings, stating that the 30-year span still does not feel real. He remarked that it is simply amazing that something he vaguely admired while watching his seniors' 30th anniversaries during his 20s has now become a reality for him, and he expressed his gratitude to the fans who continue to send their support.
Regarding future activity plans, Tony An showed his willingness to release new songs or hold solo concerts with the members, while also mentioning realistic difficulties. Instead, he revealed a hope to appear on a travel variety program together with the members. Additionally, regarding the 30th-anniversary fan meeting to be held on September 5, he stated that he would create a meaningful time to communicate closely with 120 fans and share memories of the past 30 years.
Tony An cited the intense messages that represented the concerns of teenagers and the diverse performances that swung between bright and cute music as the reasons why H.O.T. was able to establish itself as the standard for K-pop idols. He added that he feels the greatest happiness and emotion when singing H.O.T.'s songs on stage, and expressed his wish that such stages will continue in the future.
