Yoo Seung-ho and Young K exploded their '93-born best friend synergy on SBS ‘Whenever Possible’.

The viewership for ‘Whenever Possible’ broadcast on the 15th (Tuesday) recorded a peak of 4%, household 3.1%, and 2049 1%. This confirmed its status as an irreplaceable Tuesday variety powerhouse, ranking first not only in its time slot but among all variety shows broadcast on Tuesdays. SBS ‘Whenever Possible’ (directed by Choi Bo-pil / writer Chae Jin-a) is a 'niche targeting' variety show that gifts luck during the brief gaps of time encountered in daily life. In the episode broadcast on the 15th (Tuesday), 'gap friends' (guests) Yoo Seung-ho and Young K, who are same-age best friends, filled the niche time of Cheongdam-dong alongside 2MCs Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yeon-seok.

Yoo Seung-ho and Young K are same-age best friends born in '93 who formed a connection when Yoo Seung-ho appeared in a DAY6 music video, and they exploded their true friendship synergy on ‘Whenever Possible’. Young K drew laughter when he clarified the older hosts' jokes about whether it was just for business by saying, “At an awards ceremony, Seung-ho publicly congratulated me by saying, ‘Young-hyun, congratulations’,” while Yoo Seung-ho added warmth by certifying their friendship, saying, “It feels like we are beings connected even without speaking.”

Meanwhile, Young K's extraordinary eating capacity was revealed, causing surprise. Young K showed his side as an idol-world big eater, stating, “Not long ago, I put 4 ramen noodles in budae-jjigae. When I was a trainee, I once got scolded by the owner after refilling rice 8 times at an all-you-can-eat restaurant.” He continued to express the hidden struggles of a big eater, saying, “If I weren't a singer, my body wouldn't be like this,” and “I usually have to control it, so I don't eat at all. That's why I'm always hungry,” which drew bittersweet laughter.

The first 'gap owner' visited by Yoo Jae Suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Yoo Seung-ho, and Young K was a beauty shop makeup artist who worked with Young K during his early debut days. The 'gap owner' drew laughter with witty remarks, ranging from an anecdote about benefiting from the nearby beauty shop frequented by KARINA and Byeon Woo-seok to styling methods for an ex-boyfriend's wedding.

The first 'gap game' was 'One Shot! Closing,' which involves blowing a bottle cap to close a cosmetic case. Contrary to his clumsy practice skills, Yoo Seung-ho hit the target immediately as soon as the real match began, leading to the success of Stage 1. When he even played a decisive role in Stage 2, Young K shared the joy, shouting, “Seung-ho, you did it!” When Yoo Yeon-seok alone succeeded in Stage 3 instead of Young K, Young K caused laughter by giving a bright thumbs up, saying, “I didn't do anything, but anyway, I'm happy!”

Amidst this, Yoo Seung-ho, in his 29th year since debut, increased interest by mentioning the changed filming atmosphere. Yoo Seung-ho made people realize the passage of time from the child in ‘The Way Home’ to a 29th-year veteran, saying, “In the past, when I went to the filming set, everyone was an older brother or sister, but these days I hear that I am the older brother and senior.” Additionally, Yoo Seung-ho made the older hosts burst into laughter by sharing his unexpected adaptation process, saying, “In the past, we had many overnight shoots, so I thought it would be easy since they finish strictly on time these days, but I adapted so quickly that I felt tired immediately after filming ended.”

The second 'gap owner' was a trio of patissiers who appeared at the request of their mother. The 'gap owners' drew smiles as youthful figures who grew their dreams after watching the animation ‘Yumeiro Patissiere’.

The 'gap game' was 'Landing in the Chef's Hat!', which involves bouncing a ping-pong ball into a chef's hat. The four people made an unstoppable run, breaking through Stages 1 and 2 in succession after only two attempts. In particular, as Yoo Seung-ho acted as a 'real-life Messi' who succeeds whenever he challenges, Young K poured out unsparing praise, saying, “As expected of Seung-ho, it was good.” In response, Yoo Jae Suk expressed anticipation for the four members' unusual gaming sense, saying, “We really met the right people today.” The problem was Stage 3, which required all members to succeed. Due to rising tension, Yoo Seung-ho fluctuated between joy and sorrow over a single ball, and when he even failed a chance opportunity, he made the scene a sea of laughter by pleading and even kneeling, saying, “I can't do this. It's too scary.” Ultimately, after narrowly failing the final challenge, Yoo Seung-ho caused laughter until the end by being restless, saying, “My heart was just ahead of me. I feel so sorry that I can't look at the [gap owner].”

While the positive best friend power of Yoo Seung-ho and Young K provided pleasant smiles, hot reactions continued on various communities and SNS sites after the broadcast, such as: “Today's episode was really fun. The storytellers' tension was good and the gap friends worked really hard,” “Yoo Seung-ho and Young K are indeed best friends. They match well,” “It's crazy how both guests were exhausted after playing games. They were drained to their souls,” “This season's form is great,” “It's funny how they got so immersed in the story about the ex-boyfriend's wedding,” “Yoo Seung-ho is so cute. His smile is so bright,” “Young K's gaming is hilarious,” and “Today's real-life Messi Yoo Seung-ho and the trio of great scenes were crazy.”

Meanwhile, next week's ‘Whenever Possible’ will be canceled due to the broadcast of the 'Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games'.

The 'niche targeting' variety show ‘Whenever Possible,’ where 2MCs Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yeon-seok gift luck during the brief gaps of time encountered in daily life, is broadcast every Tuesday at 9 PM on SBS.
