Kim Yong-bin aims for third Golden Cup with Cho Yong-pil classic on TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Friday'
Kim Yong-bin seeks to secure his third Golden Cup on the October 30 broadcast of TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Friday' by performing Cho Yong-pil's masterpiece "The Woman Outside the Window." The TOP10 contestants are preparing to challenge his lead to prevent him from claiming the trophy.
Will Kim Yong-bin lift the Golden Cup once again? In the 43rd episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Friday' airing October 30, the competition for the third Golden Cup reaches its climax.
Last week, the winner Kim Yong-bin took the solo lead with eight Golden Stars after recording 100 points for two consecutive weeks. With only one more victory needed to seize the Golden Cup, the TOP10 contestants are launching a full-scale effort to stop his solo run.
From the opening, the atmosphere is thick with expectations for Kim Yong-bin's victory, prompting the phrase "Eo.U.Yong" (Anyway, the winner is Kim Yong-bin). Following his win on 'Mr. Trot 3' and securing the first Golden Cup on 'Golden Friday', expectations are rising that the top spot will once again belong to him.
As a final move toward victory, Kim Yong-bin has selected Cho Yong-pil's masterpiece "The Woman Outside the Window," a representative song that swept various music awards and established Cho Yong-pil as the King of Singers. "Just like this masterpiece swept the awards, I want to ride the wave of the Golden Cup," Kim Yong-bin expressed, showing his strong determination to win. Attention is focused on whether he can become the protagonist of the third Golden Cup using the legendary singer's song.
However, the TOP10 members do not intend to stand by. There is high motivation among the members to score 100 points and use the "Wheel of Fate" to change their destiny with Kim Yong-bin. As the members repeatedly target him, Kim Yong-bin even issues a warning, asking, "Are you going to cut ties with me?" His heightened sensitivity is said to turn the set into a sea of laughter.
In particular, Chun-gil, who previously captured the second Golden Cup, shows extraordinary competitive spirit. Chun-gil claims that the eight Golden Stars currently held by Kim Yong-bin originally belonged to him. He asserts that through the "Wheel of Fate," his Golden Stars passed through the winner Jeong Seo-ju and Yang Ji-eun, and the runner-up Cheon Rok-dam, before landing with Kim Yong-bin.
Consequently, Chun-gil is burning with the desire to reclaim them, stating, "I will take the Golden Stars back and end this." Curiosity is mounting as to whether Chun-gil can score 100 points and recover the eight Golden Stars that moved to Kim Yong-bin.
Meanwhile, TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Friday' airs tonight (30th) at 10 PM.
