Impact Station, ‘2026 Next AI Film Festival’ Closes… 56 Films Screened

The ‘2026 Next AI Film Festival,’ hosted by AI content platform company Impact Station, came to a close on the 19th at CGV Konkuk University. At this event, a total of 56 AI films, including works from six overseas countries such as Italy, Spain, and Mexico, met with the audience.

Under the slogan ‘Beyond Limits,’ the film festival focused on highlighting AI not merely as a production tool, but as a new means of expression. In the competition category ‘Next Choice,’ director Choi Hyeok-jin’s ‘BFF’ received the Best Film award, and director Kajimelo’s ‘The Death and Birth of the Machine God’ was selected for the Excellence Award. The Jury Special Awards went to director Nishta Shailajan’s ‘Noor’ and director Bae Seong-hyeon’s ‘Alcore.’

This film festival is evaluated as an example showing how far the realm of creation can expand when AI technology combines with cinematic grammar. While continuing screenings through the online platform ‘ContenTrip AI,’ Impact Station plans to support AI creators so that their creative activities lead to practical business results in the future.

Song Sang-hun, CEO of Impact Station, stated, “We intended to create a stage to discover new AI films beyond genre boundaries,” and added, “We will support the growth of capable AI creators and build a value chain that leads to business, contributing to making AI content a new growth engine for K-content.”
