According to media reports, BOL4 will release their 10th mini album, 'October Archive', at 6 PM on the 22nd. The release coincides with the group's 10th anniversary, their tenth mini album, and the month of October. The album takes autumn, the season Ahn Ji-young loves most, as its theme.
Ahn Ji-young participated in writing and composing all the tracks on the album and also took on the role of producer. Starting from stories rooted in personal experiences, she expanded them to encompass emotions felt in love and life, unfolding BOL4's signature delicate musical world. "This season has been a time of comfort for me, a season of longing, and a time when I faced the most transparent love," BOL4 stated. "I hope that by bringing out my heart that remained in autumn, love will also dwell in your season."
The title track, 'Golden Age', stems from the idea that the present moment may be the brightest time in one's life. It delivers the message that love makes a person shine most brightly, captured through modern rock sounds and a retro sensibility. Actor Chae Jong-hyeop appears in the music video for this song, adding an emotional narrative. The sub-title track, 'Full Count', originated from Ahn Ji-young's love for baseball. It uses the tense situation of a full count in baseball as a metaphor for life, conveying the meaning of not letting go of hope until the very end.
The album contains a total of five songs. 'Quebec' deals with the loneliness felt during a solo trip and the feeling of waiting for a new connection, while 'Dawn Air' captures the faint memories of a first breakup. 'Cat Star' sings of the tender love for a pet cat named Leo.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary, BOL4 plans to make this a special year with activities spanning music and performances. 'October Archive' will be released on the 22nd at 6 PM.
