The SBS medical noir drama 'Doctor X: Era of the White Mafia' will air its fifth episode tonight at 9:50 PM, featuring a tense confrontation after surgeon Na Dae-il's sudden rampage in the emergency room. The tension follows Gye Su-jeong's discovery that Na Dae-il had previously carved his initials into a patient's organ.

Produced by Studio S, Studio Dragon, and HighZium Studio, 'Doctor X' is a medical noir drama depicting the activities of Gye Su-jeong (Kim Ji-won), a genius surgeon known as the "crazy strategist of the operating room" who breaks down massive corruption with surgical skills that know neither failure nor compromise. The series has been breaking its own highest viewership records every week and is continuing its "Doctor X syndrome" both domestically and internationally, having swept the top rankings for two consecutive weeks on Netflix's "Global Top 10 Non-English Shows" (Tudum, based on Oct 12–Oct 18) and ranking first in both TV-OTT integrated topicality and cast topicality (FUNdex, based on Oct 12–Oct 18).
In the fourth episode, Gye Su-jeong (Kim Ji-won) formed a subtle rivalry with Na Dae-il (Jang Seung-jo), a surgeon newly appointed to Guseo University Hospital, who pushed her out of the operating room. Tension rose when Gye Su-jeong, while monitoring a patient's condition, performed an emergency surgery in Na Dae-il's absence and discovered the shocking evidence that Na Dae-il had previously carved his initials into a patient's organ. Consequently, intense interest is focused on how Gye Su-jeong will punish Na Dae-il after discovering his true, devilish nature.
