The mother's day begins at 4 AM. This is because she must travel to a hospital in another region for Dong-hee's rehabilitation treatment. Since she goes to cheongju twice a week and Mokpo for another two days, the distance traveled in a single day reaches at least 200km. There are many days when she misses morning treatment because the dispatch for the disabled taxi is delayed, but the mother has been traveling this long distance for four years already.

Dong-hee suffers from a rare disease with no official name, caused by duplication of chromosomes 12 and 13. He has overall developmental delays, cannot control his own body, and has problems with vision and hearing, making it difficult even to see and hear.
