EBS 'Architecture Exploration: House' will introduce two unique houses through its broadcast on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 9:55 PM. Various types of shelters, built by disposing of even gold rings and stocks, will meet the viewers.
The first house is a European-style residence located in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City. It features as many as 51 arches installed to reflect the wife's taste, and the exotic garden and cafe-like space catch the eye. Due to a shortage of construction costs, the Bubu who disposed of even gold jewelry and semiconductor stocks jumped directly into the construction site to complete the house.
The Transformation of a 50-Year-Old House and the Warmth of Neighbors
The second house is a residence completed in 1970, located in Samcheong-dong, Seoul. As loans were blocked due to a land encroachment issue by Somebody, it cost 1.5 times the expected construction budget, forcing them to sell their car, baby gold rings, and wedding rings. The husband, an engineering graduate, and the wife, an art graduate, participated in the construction themselves to transform the old house into a sophisticated space while preserving traces of the former home.
