Jo Ha joins FC Balladream to bolster squad ahead of league clash
FC Balladream faces a major squad overhaul as they prepare to take on FC Anaconda in their first regular league match. The team seeks to overcome significant absences of key players by integrating three new members, including Jo Ha.
Singer Jo Ha has joined FC Balladream to help address a significant talent gap caused by injuries to core players KyoungSeo and YEWON. The reorganized team faces FC Anaconda in a regular league match airing tonight at 9 PM on 'Shooting Stars'.
In the SBS soccer entertainment program 'Shooting Stars' airing tonight (28th), a fierce match will unfold between FC Balladream, which is undergoing a reorganization-level transformation, and FC Anaconda, returning to the regular league after two years.
The burden on FC Balladream and ace Seogi is heavier than ever as they prepare for this match. Following the departure of core players KyoungSeo and YEWON due to injuries, the team faces its worst-ever talent gap with the absence of Kim Bo-kyung. Coach Lee Keun-ho emphasized the weight Seogi must carry amidst these massive changes, stating, "This season will be an incredibly large test for Seogi." With the main members who led the team's golden age absent, attention is focused on Seogi's struggle to stand alone as the "sole provider" to protect the team's pride.
However, new hope emerges from the crisis. Following Lee Bo-ram from SeeYa and the "giant youngest" Lee Ye-ji, who stood out in the previous 'Handball Cup,' Jo Ha—a 'Shooting Stars kid' and 'emotional balladeer'—has joined as a new face to fill the void. Jo Ha, who has been active as a solo singer after being a runner-up on 'The Great Birth 3,' expressed special affection for the program, saying, "I was introduced to soccer by watching Shooting Stars." She reportedly surprised the members by demonstrating excellent soccer sense and high-level skills from her very first training session. Expectations are high for the "trio of new members" to become a new source of energy for the struggling FC Balladream.
Amidst this unprecedented crisis, existing members including Seogi have acted as mentors both on and off the pitch to help the three new members adapt quickly. Despite the pressure to maintain the team's center, they have worked to rebuild the team by coordinating with the new members. It is reported that under the leadership of the existing members, the new members have also been strengthening teamwork through repeated intense training.
Whether FC Balladream can overcome its talent gap and demonstrate its renewed strength remains to be seen. The intense first regular league confrontation between the reorganized FC Balladream and FC Anaconda can be watched on 'Shooting Stars,' which airs tonight at 9 PM.
